Come explore the grace, mercy, forgiveness, freedom, love & life
that can be found through Christ in the Episcopal Church.
We welcome and affirm all persons wherever they are in their life with God - whether you are searching for a spiritual home, passing through or staying for a while or a regular churchgoer - we invite you to worship with us and to think of Grace as your spiritual home.

Grant us Grace, O Lord, to battle audaciously
against evil and to make no peace with oppression.
Make us your vessels of transformation,
to resist cruelty in all its manifestations:
that no human shall be denied the right to thrive,
to live without fear, or to flourish in all their promise.
God calls us to courageously act in the Way of Love
and to be agents toward changing racism
bring us together, Lord, to face our sinful ways,
that we may change our systemic inequity,
and embrace the changes we must make.
Let us rejoice in the work begun almost 160 years ago,
and grant us the resolve to continue
the healing and reconciliation,
and the will to ensure that no person
is ever subjected to bigotry and hatred.
We offer this prayer that your glory and honor
might be made known through the freedom of all people. Amen.
Prayer to honor Juneteenth
PRAYER FROM THE PRESIDING BISHOP AND OUR DIOCESE
Eternal God of love, we know that you do not willingly inflict pain upon or grieve your children, and your dream for all is life abundant.
We come to you now in sorrow and sadness at the death and violence inflicted on our siblings of St. Stephen’s Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Receive the souls of those who have died. Grant them peace in your arms of love.
Be with those who are injured and suffer, those who are grieving, and those who are frightened and dispirited.
Help us as a nation to find ways to bring an end to this scourge of violence, which hurts your children and our human family.
Give us the strength we need, the courage we must have, and the faith in you that will see us through. All this we pray and ask in the name of the prince of peace - your son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
OTHER WEEKDAY SERVICES
WHERE TO FIND US
God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion
to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
Archbishop Justin Welby and Archbishop Stephen Cottrell
O God, where hearts are fearful and constricted,
grant courage and hope.
Where anxiety is infectious and widening,
grant peace and reassurance.
Where impossibilities close every door and window,
grant imagination and resistance.
Where distrust twists our thinking,
grant healing and illumination.
Where spirits are daunted and weakened,
grant soaring wings and strengthened dreams.
All these things we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

For Peace
Almighty God, kindle, we pray, in every heart the true love of peace, and guide with your wisdom those who take counsel for the nations of the earth, that in tranquility your dominion may increase until the earth is filled with the knowledge of your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
