Deliver us, O Lord, from the disparities of our nation;
That our leaders may have the courage and conviction of their conscience to make the right choices for all of our brothers and sisters to free them from such violence and prejudice
that stalks among us;
That they may be filled with justice and truth, not for themselves, but for all people;
That they may be so graced with your love, that they will seek to conquer the hatreds and fear that persist in our lives to the detriment of those considered ‘other’;
That the truth that all lives are created in your image,
and thus all of us are beautiful and godly and blessed,
be delivered in our laws and in our lives.
Deliver us, O Lord, from all discrimination and violence
to the fullness of your splendor and the glory of your wonder.Amen.
A PRAYER BY LW, JUNE 2022
We pray for all those affected by wars or conflicts,
That they may be delivered through your
Great Love and Compassion for all humanity;
That atrocities everywhere may be ended;
And that your children of all faiths and no faith may live in Peace
And concord with one another.
A PRAYER BY LW, MAY 2022
Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

O Judge of the nations, we remember before you with grateful hearts the men and women of our country who in the day of decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy. Grant that we may not rest until all the people of this land share the benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines.
This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
